INVITATION
Invitation is away to invite someone to go to a place or do something invitation uses the simple present tense.
To invite someone :
- I would like you to …
- We would be pleased if you could ..
- Would you like to ..?
- Shall we ..?
- How about ..?
To accept an invitation :
- thank you. Yes, I would like you ..
- yes, I would. Thanks
- That would be very nice. Thank you.
- All right ..
- O.k !
To refuse an invitation :
- I would live to, but ..
- That’s very kind of you, but ..
- Sorry, that wouldn’t be possible, thanks anyway ..
- I can’t for now because I’m busy
Example :
Vita : Kia, today is my brother’s birhday. What about having dinner together with us ?
Kia : All right. What time will you celebrate it ?
Vita : at 7 o’clock..shall I pick you up ?
Kia : If you don’t mind, but I will stay in my uncle’s house tonight .
